It won’t be easy to find a job in any field, but corporate finance jobs are expected to increase through 2014. Since you have some time before you graduate you might want to look into an internship. AT&T does quite a few and since you are in Florida, check with Disney. I know The Walt Disney Company runs internships in their Financial Audit program in Glendale, California so they might have something at Walt Disney World in Florida. You can also get a feel for corporate finance jobs, including pay, at Monster and USAJobs.

I just graduated from a Big 10 university in May with a degree in Finance. You’ll likely be swarmed by companies offering you commission-only jobs. I was getting daily calls from recruiters trying to get me to sign on to their training program prior to being offered a commission-only cold calling job. My advice – wait it out and use a commission paying job only as a last resort. I waited until the very end and finally accepted an offer at a small wealth management firm. While the pay isn’t quite as high as I initially hoped, it’ll get there soon, and I don’t have to do any cold-calling for commissions!
